Overview

Job Function

To provide expertise and advice to support the development of operational implementation plans and associated service delivery processes, methods and techniques and to perform, keep track of and report on the financial transactions of an organisational unit in accordance with financial policies and regulations, enabling informed management decision making and contributing to client or customer satisfaction, optimal profitability, reduced risk and compliance to regulatory and legislative requirements.

Key Performance Areas

• Provide expertise in assessing the gap between the current state and desired future direction and established effective ways for closing the gap in own area of accountability. Provide advice and support in the analysis, development and implementation of best practice in area of specialisation.
• Obtain, analyse and report on business performance and identify initiatives that will improve business results.
• Provide value added practice improvements, initiatives and services to deliver on organisational objectives.
• Drive and participate in forums that positively contribute to functional knowledge improvement.
• Own and live up to the company values.
• Provide advice to prevent and reduce financial wastage in the relevant business area. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders that contributes to a culture of customer service excellence.
• Obtain and analyse client related information to identify practice optimisation initiatives. Provide advice and give input to the service delivery excellence practice optimisation. Prepare and analyse financial reporting packs.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare month end Co-tenant billing and reporting.
• Prepare tax computations.
• Compile ad hoc financial reporting.
• Liaising with the client on continuous improvement initiatives – quantification & measurement.

Qualifications

• BCom Degree (NQF Level 7) in Finance.

Experience and Skills

• Up to 5 years of experience in a similar environment is required with at least 2 to 3 years operational leadership or specialist experience would be beneficial.
• Proficient financial and performance reporting knowledge and / or skill.
• Proficient tax management knowledge and / or skill.
• Proficient financial accounting knowledge and / or skill. Proficient financial management knowledge and / or skill.
