Role Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of activities which will assist this organization's Finance Department .

In this position, you should ensure the organization's financial records are accurate, compliant with accounting standards, and provide useful insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
  • Upload payments to multiple online banking platforms.
  • Upload statutory submissions on E-Filing.
  • Post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Ensure tax, VAT, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate records.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting policies.
  • Analyse financial performance and variances against budget/forecast.
  • Provide insights to management for decision-making.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulators.
  • Support business units with financial queries.
Skills, Qualification & Experience
  • National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (essential).
  • Accounting articles advantageous.
  • 3+ years experience in financial accounting, auditing, or a similar role.
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Strong Analytical Skills and modelling.
  • Cost control and expense optimization.
  • IFRS / GAAP Knowledge, compliance and local tax laws.
  • Taxation and statutory reporting.
  • BBBEERisk Management and internal controls.
  • Advanced excel and financial systems proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, financial modelling).
  • Proficiency in accounting software / ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, SAGE, Microsoft Dynamics, or Xero).
