  • Perform client billings sourcing information from the WMS and TMS.
  • Prepare and process journal entries.
  • Monitor and control CAPEX.
  • Prepare financial reports and monthly management accounts.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for client/customer support.

Job Function:

To provide expertise and advice to support the development of operational implementation plans and associated service delivery processes, methods and techniques and to perform, keep track of and report on the financial transactions of a sub-division in accordance with financial policies and regulations, enabling informed management decision making and contributing to client / customer satisfaction, optimal profitability, reduced risk and compliance to regulatory and legislative requirements.

Key Performance Areas:
  • Perform client billings sourcing information from the WMS and TMS
  • Maintain the general ledger and sub ledger
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and/or process journal entries
  • Co-ordinate and assist with the internal and external audit process
  • Provide support to Operations on financial matters
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Prepare and complete statutory returns
  • Review debtors and creditors sub-ledgers
  • Maintain the company’s asset register
  • Monitor, prepare and control CAPEX
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly financial reports
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Manage and develop employees in a work team
  • Deliver work activities according to set standards in order to satisfy customers internal and external customers.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for client / customer support by effectively and efficiently resolving queries and requests.
Qualifications Required:
  • Degree / diploma in finance or equivalent.
Experience and Skills Required:
  • 4 - 5 years' relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in Freight Forwarding would be an added advantage for this role.
  • Sound knowledge of taxation legislation, IAS Standards, IFRS and Companies Act and company financial systems and procedures.
  • Understanding of the different financial reports and documents.
  • Customer and supplier related information.
