Job summary

Exceed HR and Recruitment seeks a Finance Specialist in Stellenbosch to manage local and international tax compliance, oversee corporate income tax, VAT and payroll taxes, and coordinate R&D tax incentive claims.

You will provide guidance on tax legislation, transfer pricing, and cross-border transactions, liaise with authorities and external advisors, and support annual financial statements and IFRS treatments.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) or related postgraduate tax qualification.
• 5+ years’ post-articles experience in accounting, taxation and financial management.
• Strong South African and international tax experience.
• Knowledge of corporate income tax, VAT and cross-border tax matters.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS, foreign exchange and deferred tax.
• Experience preparing and reviewing annual financial statements.
• Experience working with external auditors.
• Ability to research complex tax and accounting matters and provide practical recommendations.
• Proficient in Sage or similar ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and commercially minded with strong professional judgement.
