A leading financial services firm in Cape Town is seeking a Finance Reporting Lead to drive financial performance reporting at a strategic level. The role requires minimum 5 years of relevant experience and leadership in financial planning, alongside a relevant degree, ideally CIMA or CA(SA). This position offers an opportunity to influence executive decision-making and contribute to business transformation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in a financial performance and planning role.
  • Minimum 2-3 years in management positions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of weekly and monthly financial performance reports.
  • Identify and communicate key financial risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely distribution of performance metrics.
  • Drive revenue growth and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Present financial results and trends to senior leadership.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and reporting practices.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Provide mentorship and resolve staff issues.

A JSE-listed industry leader is on the hunt for a dynamic and driven Finance Reporting Lead a role that goes far beyond the numbers. This is your opportunity to lead performance reporting that directly influences executive action business transformation and shareholder value.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of weekly and monthly financial performance reports (excluding statutory accounting) providing variance analysis insights and recommended actions
  • Identify and communicate key financial risks and opportunities to support strategic decision-making and business performance
  • Ensure accurate timely distribution of performance metrics and manage financial submissions to WW and Absa in line with reporting deadlines
  • Drive revenue growth and cost optimisation initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams delivering measurable financial improvements
  • Present financial results trends and actionable insights to senior leadership shareholders and other key stakeholders
  • Continuously improve financial processes and reporting practices leading change initiatives and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation
  • Manage and develop a high-performing finance team overseeing recruitment performance management development planning and achievement of Employment Equity targets
  • Provide mentorship and resolve staff issues effectively ensuring a positive and productive team environment
Qualifications
  • CIMA or CA(SA) preferred
  • Minimum 5 years in a financial performance and planning role
  • Minimum 2-3 years in management positions
  • A relevant Finance or Accounting degree
  • PA(SA) designation (Even better!)
