Overview

A well-established organisation is seeking a Finance Reconciliations Clerk to join their Properties Department at their Cape Town Head Office. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who is experienced in capturing bulk utility payments and performing high-volume reconciliations.

Responsibilities
  • Capture utility payments into the internal property system on a monthly basis
  • Reconcile landlord statements against internal property records
  • Address and resolve landlord queries via phone and email
  • Liaise with landlords to obtain the required supporting documentation
  • Calculate annual municipal rates increases or decreases
  • Participate in ad hoc finance-related projects as required
Requirements
  • Matric / Grade 12 is essential
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance or clerical environment
  • Strong experience in performing reconciliations is essential
  • Property reconciliation experience is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Able to work under pressure in a high-volume environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
