Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for a Financial Operations Manager in Cape Town, South Africa. The role involves leading financial governance, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Candidates should have a BCom in Accounting/Finance and at least 5 years of management experience in the Gambling or Hospitality sectors. Qualifications

  • Completed SAICA / SAIPA Articles.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in staff management.
  • Registered with a Professional Accounting body advantageous.
  • Industry experience: Gambling / Hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of SA Tax / Gambling Tax.

Responsibilities

  • Manage training, coaching, and development requirements.
  • Align financial strategies with BBBEE transformational agenda.
  • Implement control measures to mitigate financial risks.
  • Oversee recording and delivery of financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with Shared Services.
  • Ownership of annual audit and financial statements.
  • Control and account for fixed assets.
  • Prepare and review taxation and tax compliance.
  • Compile and maintain budgets.
  • Compile reports for submission to the Board.
