Job summary

Network Finance is assisting a listed services group in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town to find a Finance Operations Accountant. This role partners with operational teams, drives process improvements, and uses AI/automation to enhance finance efficiency.

Ideal candidate has a BCom in Accounting/Finance, 3+ years in commercial/operational finance, strong Excel skills, and willingness to travel to sites. A proactive, stakeholder-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with CIMA being advantageous.
3+ years' experience in commercial or operational finance; completed articles considered.
Strong experience in full accounting function, month-end, reconciliations, controls and stock management.
Exposure to AI and automation in finance and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
A proactive, assertive approach with strong stakeholder management and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

Manage month-end accounting, journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Partner with branches and operations to strengthen financial controls and stock management.
Analyze financial and operational data to identify cost-saving and process improvements.
Leverage AI, automation, and technology to improve finance processes and efficiency.
Provide financial insights to management to support decisions.
