Overview

SUMMARY : Our client in the printing industry has a vacancy for a Finance Officer / Auditor in Pretoria. Fixed-Term Contract (duration of the project: 6 months)

Position info

POSITION INFO : Purpose

Reporting to the General Manager : Finance and Accounting, the Finance Officer specializing in Auditing will be responsible for assessing the distributors and suppliers and ensuring relevant documentation is in line with legislation and compliance.

Key performance areas
  • Assist in the planning and execution of audits, ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations related to Distributors and suppliers.
  • Verify each distributor, ensure compliance is maintained with the relevant documents in place, orders are audited accurately and invoices are recorded and audited accordingly.
  • Review reports for accuracy and adherence to applicable South African laws and regulations.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of financial data and prepare documents to support audit conclusions.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager : Finance and Accounting to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancing internal controls.
  • Participate in the development of audit programs and procedures to ensure efficient and effective audits.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in auditing.
  • Report on potential risks related to finances.
  • Prepare audit finding reports and present them to management for review and feedback.
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained within the departments.
Essential and Mandatory Requirements
  • Matric.
  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree in specializing in Auditing.
  • Post grad qualification will be an advantage.
  • Min. 5 years working experience.
  • Previous experience in LTSM environment an added advantage.
  • Experience working with various Finance Systems : Sage Pastel Partner (Sage Evolution will be advantageous).
  • Basic understanding of financial auditing principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently.
