A leader in poultry and food production is seeking a Finance Manager for their shared services. This role requires a CA(SA) with strong leadership and financial management skills, overseeing multiple disciplines, including Accounts Payable and Compliance. The Finance Manager will strategize for operational excellence across the group, lead teams, and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.

Qualifications

  • Qualified CA(SA) with a passion for financial leadership.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience in finance.
  • Strong exposure to manufacturing or FMCG sectors.

  • Develop and execute the Finance Shared Services strategy.
  • Manage SLAs and KPIs for performance excellence.

This pivotal position forms part of the Group Finance division and offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead a national shared services strategy that drives financial excellence and operational efficiency.

As the Finance Manager: Shared Services, you will partner closely with the Head of Finance to develop and implement a robust shared services strategy. You’ll oversee multiple financial disciplines—Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Cash Forecasting, Taxation, and Statutory Compliance—while leading high‑performing teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service delivery across the Group.

A strategic and analytical finance leader with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to influence at all organisational levels. You’re detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven, and passionate about driving operational excellence through people and process leadership.

Duties
  • Develop and execute the Finance Shared Services strategy
  • Define and manage SLAs and KPIs to ensure performance excellence
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and standardisation across teams
  • Oversee IFRS compliance, month‑end close, and financial control
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets functions
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance and internal control frameworks
  • Lead centralised creditor and fixed asset teams
  • Ensure timely payments, accurate reconciliations, and capitalisation of assets
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve queries efficiently
  • Review and analyse cash flow forecasts and variances
  • Guide tax compliance and ensure alignment with SARS requirements
  • Oversee month‑end and year‑end reporting
  • Liaise with external auditors and ensure statutory compliance across entities
  • Manage and mentor multidisciplinary finance teams
  • Conduct performance reviews and succession planning
  • Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom Accounting
  • BCom Honours / CTA
  • CA(SA)
Experience
  • Completed SAICA Articles
  • 3-7 years of relevant financial and managerial experience (minimum 5 years in management/supervisory role)
  • Exposure in core Manufacturing / FMCG or Retail Experience is a MUST
  • Must have strong leadership experience
  • Experience in an SAP environment (preferably SAP R/3 FI, SD, MM modules)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Income Tax, and VAT Act
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exposure to fixed assets, creditor reconciliation, and tax compliance
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong strategic and financial leadership, driving operational excellence across shared services.
  • Advanced SAP and Excel proficiency with solid knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and financial controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to interpret data and guide decision‑making.
  • Expertise in managing Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and statutory compliance.
  • Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and developing high‑performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across all organisational levels.
