A finance and administration management company in Gauteng is seeking a Finance and Administration Manager to oversee financial functions and ensure compliance with corporate policies. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least one year of management experience, along with proficiency in Pastel accounting software and advanced Excel skills. This role involves managing financial teams and ensuring operational efficiency.
IntroductionThe primary responsibility of this position will be the management of the finance and administration functions, reporting to the Financial Director. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and financial functions as well as managing the procurement process while looking out for the best interests of the organization. The Manager will provide technical assistance to staff in implementing and complying with financial and administrative procedures to ensure compliance with the company's policies and regulations.
Accounting / FinanceEnsure compliance and consistency with the organization's policies and procedures.Manage financial and administration team to achieve its goals.Management of the full accounting function including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash book entries, petty cash, recurring invoice runs, and reconciliations.Prepare and submit reports and filings in compliance with local government laws.Assist with commission calculations, payroll preparation, and processing employee expense claimspile and present monthly financial reports to the board of Directors; including but not limited to company and consolidated management accounts.Perform month-end closing and year-end duties such as reconciliations, VAT reimbursements, inventory lists, preparation of budgets, etc.Assist rental finance division with financial approvals and ensure timeous payment received from funders.Assist in resource identification, work assignment, and performance evaluation of the finance team.Manage and assist with procurement activities in accordance with the organization's procurement policy.AdministrationResponsible for all matters related to the operations and administration of the office.Ensure registration and insurance requirements are always kept current and file statutory returns and renewals.Responsible for statutory Health and Safety compliance.Responsible for management of administrative function including project requirements, supplier agreements, employee files, databases, and contractual queries.Carry out any other tasks as assigned by Directors.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance or business management.Strong organizational and leadership skills with a minimum of 1 year management experience.Excellent knowledge of Pastel accounting software.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Excellent oral and written English fluency.
