Finance Manager | Office Automation, Boksburg. Salary: R50 / R.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced FM to join a thriving company within the office automation space.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the financial and accounting processes.
- Prepare financial reports, perform research and analysis, maintain the general ledger, conduct account reconciliations, and assist with audit preparations.
- Financial planning administration, oversee financial activities, and day‑to‑day financial transactions and procedures.
- Cash flow planning, reporting and management.
- Check and sign off on all cash receipts and all journal entries, write‑offs, etc.
- Customer refunds (both cashbook & debtor account adjustments).
- Assist debtors with queries and collections, interaction with customers to resolve disputes.
- Creditors reconciliation (supplier and other expenses) checking & releasing all payments.
- Debtors legal files / bad debts / legal handovers.
- Ensure stock control aligns with company’s forecast and processes.
- Credit applications, credit checks on ITC and approvals, blacklisting defaults.
- Monthly journal entry sign‑offs.
- Ad hoc and monthly financial management reporting requested from CEO or COO.
- Ensure departmental HODs are financially aligned with company’s strategic planning.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Predicted cash flow forecast.
- Analysis and preparation of management accounts.
- VAT reconciliation and submission to SARS.
- Authorizing and releasing payments.
- Implementation and management of effective and efficient internal financial controls.
- Foreign currency bookings and entries with joint authorization from COO.
- Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing performance and risks.
- Maintain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems.
- Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (management accountants, creditors, debtors, etc.).
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance quarterly and annually.
- Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives.
- Ensure adherence to financial law guidelines.
- Liaise with external auditors and provide audit files.
- Accurate and timely reporting; internal control functions, management, reporting and liaison.
- Cash‑flows, working capital management including bank, stock, debtors, accounts payable.
- Budgets and forecasts.
- All duties, functions, management and responsibilities relating to the financial affairs and books of account of the company.
- All tax functions and administration including VAT and normal tax; detailed expense accounts, cost analysis and control.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years related work experience in a similar role.
- Advanced computer skills essential (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook); Pastel and BPO knowledge – advantageous.
- In‑depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
