  • Oversee the full accounting cycle for both corporate and property-related transactions.
  • Develop and implement scalable processes, SOPs, and best practices across all workflows.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance management to accounting staff.
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
  • Oversee AR/AP operations, including manual bill pay, vendor management, operating expense payments, AMEX and Ramp account oversight.
  • Manage invoice creation, client referral credit ledger, cash applications, and payment processing.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of all payables and receivables, maintaining clean and auditable records.
Collections, Delinquency Management & Evictions
  • Supervise tenant delinquency and collections processes for both residential and multifamily operations.
  • Oversee lost client owner collections and escalate when necessary.
  • Collaborate with landlord‑tenant attorneys on legal matters including 30‑day notices, filings, and court appearances.
  • Coordinate labor scheduling and logistics related to physical eviction execution.
Client Support, Reporting & Communication
  • Serve as the financial escalation point for client and tenant inquiries submitted through the customer support system (HubSpot or similar).
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports for internal leadership meetings and institutional multifamily clients.
  • Respond to client financial questions with clarity and professionalism, providing ongoing education where needed.
  • Improve client portal literacy and overall client financial reporting experience.
Financial Reporting, Analysis & Special Projects
  • Lead complex reconciliation projects (e.g., trust accounting, RFDO, legacy ledger corrections).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including budgets, forecasts, cash flow analyses, and variance reports.
  • Partner with senior leadership to strengthen internal controls, optimize workflows, and implement financial systems enhancements.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc financial analyses tied to company initiatives and property performance.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including direct supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and real estate or property management accounting.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, property management systems), Excel, and reporting tools.
