Job summary

A well-established company situated in Stellenbosch is seeking a Financial Manager responsible for overseeing all financial functions, producing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification, at least 7 years of experience in a similar role, and strong skills in Excel and Sage Online. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to the core business strategy and requires a meticulous leader capable of working accurately under pressure.

Qualifications

  • 7 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry will be advantageous.
  • Completed Articles will be advantageous.

Our client, the well-established Supreme Upholstery, situated in Stellenbosch, has the above-mentioned position available for a Financial Manager. This position requires a meticulous approach from a leader who can work accurately under pressure and retain the skill to help drive the core business strategy.

The Financial Manager will have full responsibility for the Accounting function of the business – duties will include:

  • Oversee all financial functions of the company
  • Produce financial statements and preparations for annual audits
  • Implement all statutory compliance requirements (EMP/VAT/CIPRO/INCOME TAX/PROVISIONAL TAX etc.)
  • Financial processing and reconciliations
  • Monthly reports and analysis when required
  • Provide support to the Directors with budget compilation
  • Assist with inventory control
  • All other functions related to the position.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (completed Articles will be advantageous)
  • 7 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
  • Excellent computer literacy especially with Excel and Sage Online
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry will be advantageous

Commencement date: January 2026
