Job description

A dynamic and well-established company in the wine and agricultural industry is seeking an experienced Financial Manager : Agriculture to join its finance team in Stellenbosch.

This role reports directly to the Group Financial Manager and will oversee the financial aspects of the agricultural arm of the business. Location : Stellenbosch, Western Cape (open to candidates wanting to relocate to WC).

Salary range : R, – R1,, CTC per annum. Minimum qualifications : 5 years of relevant experience in the agricultural sector, including at least 2 years in a senior role.

Proficiency in fair value assessments of agricultural biological assets, financial reporting systems and advanced Excel skills.

Fluency in Afrikaans and English is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure SOPs and internal controls are updated and adhered to.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual financial reporting to key stakeholders, including executive leadership and the board.
• From a commercial perspective, focus on budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis.
• Perform fair value assessments of agricultural biological assets.
• Manage and lead departmental finance team.
