Overview

The Financial Manager, Global Operations is responsible for managing aspects of global financial operations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant accounting and process execution. The role will drive operational finance excellence, system standardization, and continuous improvement at a business process level. A primary focus will be ensuring that SYSPRO's global entities adhere to consistent financial principles, policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead specific processes and aspects of financial operations across global entities, ensuring alignment of accounting and reporting practices.
• Supervise the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, SA GAAP and applicable international standards.
• Drive simplification, standardization and automation of operational finance processes, policies, and procedures, including redesigning and improving the flow of transactions and recording in the context of evolving IT technologies, including AI.
• Collaborate with global teams to optimize ERP use (SYSPRO ERP experience advantageous).
• Monitor and improve spend metrics and internal controls across operations.
• Prepare and review management reports, variance analyses, and operational performance insights.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit readiness, and governance standards.
• Develop and mentor finance operations team to achieve performance excellence.
• Partner with other finance leaders to drive cross-functional process integration and improvement.
• Partner with specific business functions and individuals outside of Finance, to ensure alignment, optimal business outcomes and streamlined operating models.
• Represent Finance and Finance Operations within the broader SYSPRO organization, including various forums, workstreams and task forces, to bring the best of finance practices and financial stewardship to the business.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
