An automotive retailer based just outside Harare’s CBD is seeking an experienced and detail-driven Finance Manager to join its leadership team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, optimizing performance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
Role Overview
The Finance Manager will play a key role in managing financial planning, reporting, and control functions while supporting senior management in driving sustainable growth. This individual will ensure that all financial practices are sound, transparent, and aligned with the company’s global standards and local regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor financial performance and provide insights to support business strategy and decision‑making.
- Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Manage and coordinate audits, tax submissions, and external reporting obligations.
- Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Support operational departments with cost analysis, profitability tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement financial best practices.
- Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring skills development and strong internal collaboration.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- A professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent is preferred.
- 5–8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a management role, ideally within the automotive, retail, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of Zimbabwean tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and financial reporting skills.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
