Finance Manager
Location: City of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.
Employment Type: Full-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the finance function, including monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Drive financial planning processes and ensure alignment with operational goals.
- Partner with department heads to support business decision-making through financial insights.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.
- Manage the month‑end and year‑end close process, including consolidation and reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements in line with accounting standards.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity.
- Analyse expenses and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls.
- Supervise and support finance staff in daily operations.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management and other departments.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Support business growth by evaluating investment opportunities, funding requirements, and capital structures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- CA(SA) designation is non‑negotiable.
- Immediate availability is required.
- 3‑5 years post articles in a Finance Manager or similar role.
- Strong business understanding and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
- Solid experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and controls.
- Experience in supporting business operations from a finance perspective.
- Proficient in financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision‑making abilities.
