Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a strategic Finance Manager well-versed in financial records maintenance and experienced in foreign payments, rebates, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and strong skills in accounting software. This role entails various financial responsibilities, including daily cash flow management, trial balance reconciliations, and assisting in audits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance management.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in accounting software.
  • Experience with exports and imports is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial records in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare daily cash flows and payment requisitions.
  • Assist with annual audits and stocktakes.
  • Finalise trial balances and prepare audit files.

Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Maintenance of the financial records
  • Ensuring Statutory compliance

Functional Duties

Daily
  • General Ledger Recons
  • Processing of Journals
  • Preparation of daily cashflows
  • Preparation of Payment Requisitions
  • Creditor reconciliations to supplier statements
  • Preparation of payments according to supplier terms
  • Debtors Invoicing
  • Maintaining Segmented Chart of Accounts for Costing purposes
  • Project Costings
Monthly
  • Finalising all open documents
  • Trial Balance Recons
  • Month End Audit Files
  • Rebate store
  • Fixed Asset Register
  • Raising Interest on overdue accounts
  • Customer statements
  • Preparing and submitting of Statutory Returns
Annually
  • Preparing Final Audit Files
  • Assisting with Annual Audit
  • Assisting with Annual Stocktakes
When Required
  • Budget Forecasts
  • Supplier and Customer maintenance
  • Other AdHoc requests
Qualifications

Profile & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Relevant qualifications
  • Computer Literate
  • Proficient in MS Office and Pastel Partner
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Experience in exports / imports
