Supervisors Title: Finance Manager
The Finance Manager will be required to attend to and perform on all levels of finance, from bookkeeping to senior management levels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Manage daily financial operations, ensuring consistency across the organisation.
- Analyse and validate financial data to better understand potential risks, concerns, and outcomes of decisions.
- Perform Daily Bank imports and allocate payments to relevant suppliers and customers.
- Monitor and enforce compliance-related policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practices.
- Monitor the expenditures on an on-going basis; ensuring that expenditures are in accordance with the approved annual budget.
- Drive the implementation and management of risk and finance management protocols and prescripts.
- Collaborate with and provide support to the CEO, Technical team and other key decision-making bodies.
- Implement budgetary controls and ensure effective internal control systems in the accounting and reporting cycles.
- Accurately accrue unprocessed invoices and receivers, prioritising the timely reconciliation on all accounts and following up on outstanding invoices each month (debtors management).
- Investigate the financial situation of Franchisee and usually provide recommendations as to how to improve, and train franchisees on finance.
- Oversee annual group audit.
Stakeholder Engagements:
- Arrange and attend stakeholder meetings and ensured feedback of stakeholder responses and requests are responded to within agreed timescales.
- Nurture, grow and further develop a portfolio of long-term stakeholder relationships, whilst considering how these relationships can be amplified to reap greater benefits across the company.
Report Management:
- Create and deliver informative reporting and results analysis on financial objectives, ensuring continuous visibility of plans and progress
- Produce monthly management reports and complete Sustainability Report to the Holding Company.
- Create draft AFSs for all companies under the Holding Company.
Data Management:
- Maintain a data management repository and respond to ad hoc data requests from stakeholders as required.
Strategic Development:
- Support the development of financial management strategies that support business priorities and overall objectives.
- Analyse existing strategies for efficacy and evaluate how these can be optimised in future.
Performance/Resource Optimisation
- Manage performance and continuously identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Prioritise strategic alignment of resources to maximise deliverable outputs.
- Engage and assist in ongoing business optimisation exercises across the Group to maximise shareholder value.
- Support the development (and review) of economic models, capturing all technical and commercial.
Requirements necessary for the job:
- Honours Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years’ experience in accounting within a commercial environment.
Knowledge
- Has excellent understanding of the structure and functions within Zimele Group of Companies and knows the organisation’s products and services.
- Excellent understanding of ZGC’s financial governance policies and regulations.
- In—depth knowledge of general accounting bookkeeping theories and practices.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures within Zimele and how to provide good services to all customers within the organisation.
- Knowledge of effective time management, prioritizing and forward planning practices.
