SushiBox Group – Finance Manager


The SushiBox Group — home to SushiBox, NoodleBox, and The Poké Co — is looking for a qualified and dynamic Financial Manager (CA(SA)) to join our growing team based at our head office in Diep River, Cape Town.


You’ll play a key role in leading financial operations across multiple restaurant brands, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight.


This is a hands‑on position suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, service‑driven environment and understands the operational heartbeat of hospitality.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee financial operations across all restaurant brands within the group.

  • Manage monthly reporting, reconciliations, budgets, and forecasts.

  • Deliver accurate and timely management accounts and performance reports.

  • Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, tax, and statutory requirements.

  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and cashflow management systems.

  • Oversee supplier payments, payroll, and day‑to‑day financial administration.

  • Partner with operations, procurement, and area managers to drive profitability.

  • Liaise with auditors, bankers, and other financial stakeholders.

  • Identify and lead process improvements across multiple systems and workflows.


Requirements


  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) – essential.

  • 3–5 years of post‑articles experience in a Financial Manager role (hospitality experience highly preferred).

  • Proven ability to manage multi‑branch or multi‑brand operations.

  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, Lightspeed, and MarketMan.

  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and adaptable in a fast‑moving environment.
