Purpose of the jobThe Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of RedPanda Software.
This role involves managing, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure the company's financial stability and growth.
The Finance Manager will provide strategic financial insights, support decision-making processes, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of Financials for 5 small to medium local companies and 2 to small international companies.
- Management of loan accounts between primary company and local and international companies.
- Quarterly presentations of primary local company financials to Board of Directors.
- Annual presentation of all local company financials to Board of Directors with accountants.
- Management of a team of 3 bookkeepers responsible for the administration of accounting and payroll functions for all local and international companies.
- Management of daily financial operations and team performance.
- Management of daily debtor and creditor accounts.
- Management of monthly profits and loss reports.
- Management of monthly payroll and employee benefits.
- Management of local and international daily bank accounts and cash flows.
- Management of procurement and asset register.
- Management of annual budget reports and forecasts.
- Management of annual financial reporting.
- Management of monthly / quarterly VAT Returns for local and international companies.
- Management of monthly / bi-annual PAYE Returns for local and international companies.
- Management of monthly Dividend Tax, bi-annual Provisional Tax and annual Income Tax returns with accountants for local and international companies.
- Management of annual CIPC and COIDA Returns and all other statutory requirements.
- Management of Financial requirements.
- Management of statutory compliance.
- Management of policies and procedures.
Skills / Competencies
- Advanced Microsoft Office computer skills
- Understanding of accounting best practices
- Understanding of payroll principles
- Understanding of basic HR principles
- Understanding of basic business administration principles
Minimum Requirements
- Matric certification
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration or related fields
- 7+ years' experience working in accounting and payroll positions.
- 3+ years' experience working in a leadership role related to accounting and payroll.
- Experience working in an IT software development environment is advantageous
- 5+ years' experience working with Sage accounting software
- 3+ years' experience working with Deel / Payspace Payroll softwareAdvanced knowledge of Excel data analysis, automation and reporting
- Advanced knowledge of Financial Modelling and Analysis is advantageous
- Advanced knowledge of Financial Management
- Experience working with multi-currency, loan accounts and foreign entities
