ERA NPC is seeking a highly capable and values‑driven Finance Manager to lead our financial operations, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, and provide strategic financial insights to support decision‑making at all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow reports, and forecasts.
- Manage all statutory reporting: VAT, PAYE, UIF, COIDA, SDL, EMP.
- Develop and monitor budgets and financial strategies.
- Prepare or review Annual Financial Statements (AFS) in line with IFRS for SMEs.
- Lead audit preparation and act as primary liaison for external auditors.
- Oversee internal financial controls, risk management, and compliance policies.
- Provide financial insights to support decision‑making and strategic planning.
- Supervise the Bookkeeper and ensure alignment with internal deadlines.
- Support regulatory performance and project reporting.

This is an in‑office role based in Claremont, Cape Town.

Minimum Requirements and Core Skills
BCom in Accounting or Financial Management, or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification.
- 5–8 years of financial management and reporting experience.
- SAIPA designation or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in preparing management accounts, budgets, and financial statements.
- Excellent understanding of South African tax legislation and statutory reporting.
- Experience in NPO, regulatory, or SME environment preferred.
- Proven experience preparing AFS and managing full financial function.
- Ability to analyse financial data and present it meaningfully to non‑financial staff.
- Proficiency in Pastel Accounting, MS Excel, and financial systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and analytical ability.
- Knowledge of B‑BEE financial reporting and compliance is advantageous.
