Job Description

Job Title: Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparefinance inputs for monthly analysis, shareholder, and stakeholder reports.
  • Preparefinance inputs for Board meeting reports.

2. Cash Flow Management

  • Managecash, ensuring optimal use for the project SPV and compliance with alllender covenants.
  • Providetimely cash reporting and forecasting.
  • Maintaintreasury and banking relationships, acting as the primary operational bankcontact.
  • Liaisewith lenders and auditors to ensure compliance with all filingrequirements and resolve accounting issues.
  • Reviewand approve payments (electronic or manual).
  • Overseerepayment of loans, reviewing calculations for accuracy.
  • Managethe payment of dividends and distributions to shareholders.

3. Statutory and Compliance Reporting

  • Prepareand sign-off annual audited accounts/financial statements in accordancewith IFRS.
  • Ensureall CIPC and related statutory reports are submitted on time.
  • Workclosely with tax managers and practitioners to manage local tax mattersfor project SPVs.
  • Ensurecompliance with corporation tax, VAT, and WHT obligations.
  • Manageexternal tax advisors and coordinate advice as needed.
  • Facilitateobtaining tax clearance certificates or advanced rulings where necessary.
  • Leadresponses to tax audits in coordination with local advisors.
  • Reviewand assist with VAT and VAT returns.
  • Preparead hoc compliance reports for institutions including Stats SA and NERSA.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Partnerwith operations teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyseand report on budgets to the group.
  • Ensuretimely uploading of budgets into the accounting system.

5. Support to Broader Finance Team

  • Providead hoc support to the finance team on budgeting, BBBEE reporting, vendormanagement, Economic Development reporting, and other finance matters.
  • Undertakeadditional finance responsibilities in support of the group as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum5 years post-qualifying (or post articles) experience in a financialmanager role.
  • Experiencein financial and management accounting, including current accountingpractices and methods.
  • Creativeand innovative mindset.
  • Cross-culturalawareness and ethical behaviour.
  • Exposureto reporting systems within a medium to large company.
  • Experienceworking in an ERP system (e.g., SAP or similar) is an advantage.
  • Proficientknowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, PowerPoint,Word, and MS Teams.
  • Experiencein the renewable energy sector is an advantage.
  • Experiencein a shared services environment is an advantage.
  • Experiencein a multi-company or multi-entity structure is an advantage.
