Job summary

Outsourced CFO Randburg, South Africa, seeks a Financial Manager to lead the Finance department and report to the Commercial Director. You will oversee the accounting function for the group and key financial processes servicing customers, ensuring IFRS compliance and robust reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years' experience for non-CA(SA) candidates preferably with exposure to mid-sized companies including reporting to external stakeholders
• Minimum of 10 years’ working experience for CA(SA) candidates preferably with exposure to mid-sized companies including reporting to external stakeholders
• Leadership experience in a financial role
• Working knowledge of IFRS
• Project management
• Excel – Advanced
• Exposure to ERP systems & Xero/Sage/QuickBooks
• Flexibility to adapt with business changes
• Analytical mind, organised, precise and meticulous
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong team player and motivator

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting function
• Direct and lead the Finance Department team
• Ensure IFRS compliance
• Responsible for monthly reporting, Annual Financial Statements of several companies and the audit engagement
• Experience with, or possess a sound conceptual understanding of, the principles inherent in a financing business e.g. expected credit loss modelling, impairment, classification
• Insurance matters
• Budgets
• Manage the finance operations of the loan book
• Disbursements
• Collections
• Reconciliations
• Stakeholder reporting
• Support ongoing projects
• Asset & liability management
• Forecasting
• Other projects that interface with finance
• Prepare reports
