A leading construction machinery company in Gauteng is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial planning, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will hold a CA (SA) qualification, have at least six years of experience, and possess strong leadership and financial management skills. This role involves managing the submission of tax returns, preparing budgets, and ensuring adherence to reporting standards. Professional growth and strategic input are key features of this position.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Southern Africa Co (Pty) Ltd Preference will be given to EE candidates.
Candidates must have commercial experience, ideally in a trading company.

Participation in the strategic management of the Company
Accurate reporting to Management and the holding company : Includes monthly financial reporting packs to holding company
Monthly exco pack (including management accounts) ahead of exco meetings;
Preparation of annual budget, quarterly forecasts, weekly profit forecast, and cash forecasts;
Related commercial reporting
Effective management of working capital
Run external and internal audits
Manage submission of annual tax returns, monthly VAT returns, and all related tax compliance
Oversee BEE reporting and compliance
Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure effective internal controls
Provide a high standard of financial controls and strong directional financial leadership
Ensure adherence to holding company reporting standards and policies
Develop & maintain effective relationships and communication with subordinates, sales staff, group finance, and executive management
Qualifications and Experience Required : CA (SA)
Technically sound in IFRS and Tax
Minimum of six years related post-qualification experience
Proven track record
Expertise in financial planning & control preferably with import and distribution exposure.
(Treasury and Forex) Strategic Management exposure and well-developed business acumen.
High level of IT exposure & information systems management.
The ideal candidate, in addition to the above, must have strong leadership skills and the ability to direct and motivate subordinates.
