Ultra-established engineering company in Johannesburg seeks a Finance Director to lead financial planning, control and reporting for the Wadeville site. You will ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance and strong financial governance across assets and liabilities.

The role requires 5+ years in a manufacturing/technical environment, with strong MS Office, Syspro and Vena skills; exposure to commodity hedging is a plus. Attractive package with medical aid and provident fund.

Qualificações

• BCom/CA/CMA or related belt qualifications advantageous.
• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing/technical environment.
• No major findings on the audit report.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, direct, manage and develop all aspects relating to financial planning, control and reporting within the company to ensure long-term financial viability.
• Maintain financial control over all assets and liabilities in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and group policy.
• Ensure continuous improvement in the finance function across the group to support other departments.
• Submit monthly/yearly financial information to the company by the deadlines specified.
• Aim for a 90% favourable response from other departments in terms of providing financial information.
• Oversee commodity risk hedging activities.

A well-established engineering company requires a Finance Director to contribute to the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Plan, direct, manage and develop all aspects relating to financial planning, control and reporting within the company to ensure the long-term financial viability of these investments in terms of group financial goals.
2. Maintain financial control over all company assets and liabilities in accordance with legal requirements, group policy and generally accepted accounting practice (GAAP/IFRS).
3. Ensure continuous improvement in the finance function and ensure a consistent approach to all financial issues within the group to support other departments in financial issues on the Wadeville site.
4. BCom / CA / CMA / Articles / Green Belt or Black Belt or Master Black belt will also be advantageous.
5. At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing / technical environment.
6. Computer Literate – MS Office, Excel, Syspro, Vena (an advantage).
7. 5+ years commodity risk hedging experience.
8. No major findings on the audit report.
9. Submit monthly/yearly financial information to the company by the deadlines specified.
10. Achieve a 90% favourable response from other departments in terms of providing financial information.

Package & Remuneration

Monthly plus Basic salary, medical aid, provident fund, performance bonus.
