Ultra Personnel is seeking a Finance Director to lead the financial planning, control and reporting for its engineering operations. The role focuses on securing long-term viability, safeguarding assets, and ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS while guiding the Wadeville site's financial issues with other departments.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant accounting or finance qualification (BCom/CA/CMA) with belt certifications advantageous and at least five years in a manufacturing/technical

A well-established engineering company requires a Finance Director to contribute to the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. To plan, direct, manage and develop all aspects relating to financial planning, control and reporting within the company to ensure the long-term financial viability of these investments in terms of group financial goals.
2. To maintain financial control over all company assets and liabilities in accordance with legal requirements, group policy and generally accepted accounting practice (GAAP/IFRS).
3. To ensure the continuous improvement in the finance function and ensure a consistent approach to all financial issues within the group to support other departments in financial issues on the Wadeville site.
4. BCom / CA / CMA / Articles / Green Belt or Black Belt or Master Black belt will also be advantageous.
5. At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing / technical environment.
6. Computer Literate – MS Office, Excel, Syspro, Vena (an advantage).
7. 5+ years commodity risk hedging experience.
8. To have no major findings on the audit report.
9. To submit monthly/yearly financial information to the company by the deadlines specified.
10. To have a 90% favourable response from other departments in terms of providing financial information.

Package & Remuneration

Monthly plus Basic salary, medical aid, provident fund, performance bonus.
