Job summary

Old Mutual Limited in Johannesburg seeks a Finance Analyst to support the Finance Data Governance and Accounting function. You will translate IFRS requirements into data, system, and integration specs and ensure data integrity across the reporting landscape.

The role acts as a bridge between Finance, Data, and Technology, embedding governance and controls, and supporting continuous improvement in finance reporting and data management.

Qualifications

• IFRS accounting knowledge with data governance exposure is preferred.
• Experience translating accounting guidance into data requirements.
• Understanding of finance data structures and controls.
• Ability to document SOPs, governance policies, and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Interpret IFRS guidance and translate into data/system specs.
• Bridge Finance, Data, and Technology teams; align governance with systems.
• Develop and maintain data definitions, glossaries, ownership, and quality rules.
• Document As-Is and To-Be processes; map data and control dependencies.
• Support continuous improvement and embedding governance into finance reporting.
