Job summary

Takealot Group in Cape Town is seeking a Finance Analyst (Reporting & Analysis) to own the Group's standardized internal reporting infrastructure within Corporate FP&A. You will drive month-end processes, establish reporting standards, and lead automation initiatives across Looker, SQL, and Excel to support CFO/CEO insights.

You will coach a Junior Finance Analyst, build strong relationships with BU finance partners, and ensure timely, accurate reporting for Exco and the Board.

Qualifications

• BCom (Hons) or equivalent in Finance/Accounting; CA(SA), CIMA or CFA (completed or in progress) advantageous.
• At least 5 years' relevant FP&A, management reporting or finance/BI experience including ownership of a month-end or reporting process.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering reporting automation or process redesign with measurable results.
• Strong understanding of accounting, management accounts and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel and working SQL; experience with Looker or similar BI tool.

Responsibilities

• Own the Group's standardised reporting suite across all BUs, ensuring a single version of the truth for Exco, leadership, and Board pack.
• Design, maintain, and govern finance Looker reporting and dashboards used by Accounts Payable, FinOps and Customer & Insights.
• Define and maintain reporting standards, data definitions and controls for accurate management reporting.
• Lead the FP&A month-end process end-to-end: timetable, deliverables, reconciliations, and quality review.
• Identify root causes of reporting errors and implement permanent fixes; document end-to-end processes and system touchpoints.
