Job Description
The Finance Analyst / Accountant will be responsible for preparing management accounts reconciling ledgers and managing payroll and financial reporting for the South African and UK entities. The role involves ensuring compliance with all statutory and internal control requirements supporting group-level financial initiatives and maintaining accurate and timely financial information for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and assist in the consolidation of group financial statements.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
- Manage payroll processing statutory deductions and related submissions.
- Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis across group entities.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in audit preparation liaising with auditors and external stakeholders.
- Monitor cash flow expenses and departmental budgets.
- Support the implementation of financial systems controls and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with local and UK financial regulations tax laws and reporting standards.
- Provide analytical support and financial insights to senior management.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting Finance or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in financial accounting or analysis preferably within an international or group finance environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance.
- Experience in management accounts reconciliations and financial reporting essential.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage Xero or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and organisational skills.
- High level of accuracy integrity and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across borders and time zones.
- Professional qualification (ACCA CIMA or SAIPA / SAICA) advantageous.
