About the Role

As a Field Service Engineer based in Gauteng, you will play a critical role in supporting Elekta's mission by installing and maintaining cutting‑edge oncology equipment. This home / office / site‑based role requires extensive travel across South Africa and occasional international assignments. You’ll be a trusted expert working with leading‑edge medical technologies and building meaningful relationships with healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently perform installations and corrective maintenance on Elekta systems.
  • Diagnose and repair issues down to board level or below.
  • Manage your own workload and prioritize customer needs.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Elekta's service portfolio.
  • Coach and train junior colleagues (once trained).
  • Deliver excellent customer service and represent Elekta's values.
  • Participate in feedback loops to improve the customer experience and product reliability.

Qualifications
  • Formal technical qualification.
  • Previous field‑service experience.
  • LSE1 and LSE2 qualifications (or equivalent).
  • Advanced skills in electronics, mechanics, and IT systems (including Windows OS, servers, networking).
  • Ability to work independently and handle complex troubleshooting.
  • Valid and clean driving license.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications and general IT.
