Job summary
Astron Energy South Africa (Pty) Ltd invites applications for an Instrument/Analyser Technician to support field instrumentation and online process analysers across the refinery. Reporting to the Instrument/Analyser Coordinator, the role focuses on measurement integrity, analyser reliability and instrument availability through hands-on maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.

Qualifications
- Minimum N3 Certificate; apprenticeship with Trade Test Certificate preferred.
- Experience in petrochemical or refinery instrumentation is advantageous.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, calibrate and maintain field instruments and analysers.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate and repair field instruments and process analysers (GC, FTIR, NIR, O2/H2S, moisture, conductivity).
- Maintain analyser sample systems (heated lines, filters, condensate traps, pumps, regulators).
- Perform loop checks, functional tests and calibration checks; keep calibration certificates up to date.
