Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Field Installation Technician to serve clients in Soweto and surrounding Gauteng areas. You will perform on-site installations, run initial system tests, and ensure client satisfaction with the completed work.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical installations, can read technical diagrams, and communicates effectively with customers on-site. A valid driver’s license is required for reliable site visits.

You will be responsible for executing installations according to precise specifications, performing initial system checks, and ensuring client satisfaction with the completed work. Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations of equipment and systems adhering strictly to technical guidelines and company standards.
• Conduct initial system testing and configuration to ensure proper functionality post-installation.
• Provide basic user training and guidance to clients on the operation of installed equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot any installation-related issues encountered on-site, resolving them efficiently.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with clients at their premises.
• Complete and submit detailed installation reports, including any challenges or recommendations, in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Installation Technician or in a similar field service role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical installation processes and the ability to read technical diagrams.
• Proficiency with common hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a knack for practical application of technical knowledge.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record for reliable site visits.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients in the Soweto area.
