Job summary

Curro seeks to appoint a Mathematics and Accounting Teacher (FET Phase) on a full-time basis at The Kings School in Linbro Park to commence duties in January 2027. The teacher will deliver a range of subjects per the Curro curriculum, focusing on knowledge transfer, skills development and positive learner attitudes.

The role is located in Gauteng (Linbro Park) with a strong emphasis on planning, assessment, and differentiated instruction.

Qualifications

BEd degree and/or PGCE in FET phase education, with an honours degree in education (in the relevant subject/s) advantageous.
Minimum 3 years’ experience as an FET phase teacher.
Knowledge of the IEB curriculum.
Proven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.
Willing and able to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

Teach and coordinate subjects per Curro curriculum for the FET phase.
Plan lessons using modern-day tools and processes; set up workbooks; measure academic progress.
Set up, implement, monitor and adjust term plans; differentiate learning materials.
Create baseline assessments and advise subject choices and remedial plans.
Manage classroom, assessments, and homework; moderation and supervision.
Plan extramural activities and provide one-on-one tutoring.
