Job summary

An independent schooling provider in Cape Town is seeking a full-time FET Phase Teacher for Mathematical Literacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for lesson planning, teaching, and managing classroom activities, while fostering positive learner development. A BEd, BA or PGCE in education is required, along with at least 3 years of FET phase teaching experience. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and be willing to work extended hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an FET phase teacher.
• Knowledge of the IEB curriculum is essential.
• Willing and able to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform teaching duties including lesson planning and assessment.
• Create baseline assessments to guide student subject choices.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring support and extra lessons.
