Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an FEM Specialist - Structural Engineering to develop, run and interpret advanced finite element models of structural systems using tools such as ABAQUS, ETABS, ANSYS, SAP2000 or Robot.

You will evaluate loads, stresses, deformations and failure modes, supporting design with detailed analysis reports and recommendations, and collaborate with engineers to integrate FEM insights into project execution while ensuring compliance with SANS/Eurocode and internal

Qualifications

• Develop, run, and interpret advanced FEM models of structural systems.
• Evaluate load paths, stress distribution, deformation, and failure modes.
• Support the structural design process with detailed analysis reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with other engineers to integrate FEM insights into projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes (SANS, Eurocode) and internal standards.
