About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Farm Manager to oversee diverse mixed farming operations in the Polokwane region. This comprehensive role requires a strong understanding of crop production, livestock management, and general farm administration to ensure profitability and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for managing all daily activities, staff, resources, and ensuring the implementation of best agricultural practices across both crop and animal husbandry components of the farm. This is a leadership position for someone passionate about agriculture and committed to sustainable and productive farming.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of mixed farming operations, including crop planting, cultivation, harvesting, and livestock care.
• Supervise and lead a team of farm workers, ensuring efficient task allocation and performance.
• Oversee budget management, including expenditure on seeds, fertilizers, feed, equipment, and labor.
• Implement and monitor best practices in crop management and livestock husbandry to maximize yield and animal welfare.
• Maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and used safely.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations, safety standards, and environmental best practices.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Agriculture, Farm Management, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management, preferably with mixed farming systems.
• Solid knowledge of crop cultivation techniques and principles of livestock management.
• Experience in managing farm staff and resources effectively.
• Familiarity with farm machinery operations and basic maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment in Limpopo.
