Overview

Our client is seeking a proactive and reliable Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of their farm in Limpopo. This hands-on position requires strong practical skills in maintenance, construction, and mechanical work, excellent communication, and the ability to manage staff, livestock, and guest experiences effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day farm operations and staff management.
• Carry out and coordinate maintenance and repair work, including:
• Plumbing
• Electrical work
• Fence maintenance
• Construction projects (buildings, infrastructure, general upgrades)
• Mechanical repairs and upkeep of farm vehicles, machinery, and equipment
• Manage livestock and wildlife (game and cattle), ensuring their health and well-being.

• Coordinate visitor and guest management, including:
• Handling bookings
• Preparing accommodations and facilities
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
• Communicate effectively with the owner, staff, and guests to ensure smooth farm operations.
• Support and implement farm improvements as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in farm management or a similar role.
• Strong technical, construction, and mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and fencing.
• Knowledge of animal husbandry.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
• Ability to handle both practical tasks and administrative duties.
• Flexible, hands-on approach with a willingness to work closely with the owner.
• Must be willing to live on the farm (accommodation provided).
