Job description
Overview

Applications are invited for a Faculty Finance and Business Manager for appointment to a full-time position. The successful candidate will report to the Faculty’s Executive Dean. They will provide financial / business leadership to the Faculty Executive and will enable the Dean to provide full financial accountability for the Faculty by providing structure and guidance in planning; as well as organising and monitoring the financial outcomes of the Faculty.

Responsibilities
  • Budgeting, forecasting and strategic / financial planning; financial management and financial reporting; accounting and control; resource management; management of financial staff including staff training; financial systems development; as well as contracts management.
Qualifications, experience and competencies

Applicants should have a recognised accounting qualification (preferably a BCom, CA, ACMA or similar) and appropriate skills; possess progressively responsible experience of 5-7 years in a similar position in a complex, computerised environment; demonstrate competence in budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial / business planning; have relevant financial management and accounting skills; and ability to competently manage staff. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills would be important, with an innovative and proactive approach to solving problems.
