Facilities Manager position available in Somerset West.

A renowned Manufacturing Engineering company is looking for a Facilities Manager to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in Somerset West.

Job Purpose:

  • Ensures the efficient operation, maintenance, and optimisation of the facility to support organisational goals, promote sustainability, and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Source contracts and service providers for catering, cleaning, parking, security, and technology functions.
  • Manage facilities and maintenance budget.
  • Conduct proactive (preventative) maintenance and upgrades.
  • Ensure that facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations.
  • Ensure employee and facility safety.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, tenants, vendors, contractors, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and coordinate the facilities team to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate repairs and renovations to maintain optimal conditions.
  • Analyse space usage to optimise layouts for maximum productivity.
  • Plan for office relocations or expansions.
  • Ensure spaces are designed to meet the needs of employees and operations.

Required Qualifications:
