Job summary

Placements24 in Centurion is seeking a proactive Environmental Services Assistant to support cleaning, sanitation and safety across offices, workshops and public spaces. You will follow cleaning schedules, manage waste streams and assist with pest control.

The role offers training, uniforms and retirement fund contributions, with a collaborative team atmosphere and opportunities to develop within facilities management.

Qualifications

Experience in cleaning or environmental services is advantageous.
Knowledge of safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively.
Good physical condition, with the ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and lifting.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Execute cleaning schedules for offices, workshops and public spaces.
Manage collection, segregation and disposal of waste streams.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs promptly.
Perform deep cleaning and sanitization for high-traffic zones and equipment.
Assist with pest control measures and upkeep of external grounds as required.
