A leading manufacturing business in Johannesburg seeks a Facilities Manager to lead maintenance operations in their plastics manufacturing plant. The role requires strong expertise in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and overseeing mechanical infrastructure. Candidates with background in injection moulding and electrical fault-finding preferred. Full-time position available with competitive remuneration.

Qualifications

  • Years of experience in electrical maintenance, N5 or higher preferred.

Lead maintenance operations as a Facilities Manager at a high performing plastics manufacturing plant in Johannesburg!

Job & Company description

Join a leading manufacturing business specialising in high-precision plastic components through injection moulding and extrusion. With over three decades of industry expertise this company values hands‑on leadership, innovation and operational excellence to support their national client base across automotive, industrial and commercial sectors.

You’ll lead a team of artisans in ensuring optimal performance of all utilities, electrical systems and mechanical infrastructure. From troubleshooting complex faults to overseeing preventative maintenance and improving equipment uptime you’ll be deeply involved in root‑cause analysis, production support, safety compliance and continuous improvement across the plant’s operations.

Job Experience and Skills Required
  • Years of experience in electrical maintenance (N5 in Electrical or Electronics minimum; Trade Test advantageous)

Strong background in electrical panel wiring fault‑finding and PLC / VSD programming.

Hands‑on experience with compressors, chillers, hydraulics and water treatment systems.

Manufacturing background in plastics / injection moulding / extrusion is highly preferred.
