An educational support organization in Paarl seeks a passionate school facilitator for a sociable eight-year-old boy with ADHD. This role involves providing consistent support to promote engagement and reduce overwhelm in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have experience with ADHD and autistic children, strong communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for collaboration. The position offers the opportunity for training from a knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team.
We are seeking a school facilitator for a bright and sociable eight-year-old boy. The ideal candidate should be passionate about working with children, with a particular enthusiasm for supporting neurodivergent children with ADHD in the school environment. We’re looking for someone who brings a gentle touch, works well alongside the child, and knows how to make learning and daily routines fun and motivating. They should enjoy problem-solving and excel at discovering unique, creative ways to teach and guide various concepts. Being a team player who thrives on collaboration is essential for this role.
To provide consistent, calm, and attuned support to a neurodivergent learner throughout the school day—facilitating engagement, reducing overwhelm, and promoting participation in classroom activities. The facilitator will help scaffold attention, transitions, and task completion, while modelling respectful communication and encouraging self-regulation. The goal is to create a safe, predictable presence that supports learning, confidence, and wellbeing within the school environment.
A special interest and passion to be a secure, and consistent source of support is of the utmost importance. The candidate will be trained by the NDC Facilitation Academy and thereafter receive personalised support from a suitably qualified team member for up to 6 weeks, working in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team.
Fluent in English – Essential.
Fluent in Afrikaans – Desirable.
Own a reliable car and driver’s license - Essential.

Previous experience working with ADHD children – Essential
Previous experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum - Essential
Previous experience in a schooling environment / facilitating role – Desirable
Experience in teaching children in the foundation phase - Desirable
Familiarity and knowledge of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) – Essential.
Familiarity and knowledge of autism spectrum disorder – Essential.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills – Essential.
