Job Description

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations within the establishment. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality service, efficient management of resources, compliance with health and safety standards, and maximisation of profitability. The manager leads the planning, organisation, control, and coordination of food and beverage services, maintaining excellent customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all food and beverage operations to meet organisational goals.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and analyse financial reports to optimise profitability.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff performance, fostering a positive working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, hygiene, and licencing regulations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and maintain inventory levels.
  • Monitor customer feedback and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
  • Organise and oversee special events and promotions as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and inventory.
Required Qualifications
  • Relevant qualification in hospitality management, business management, or a related field.
Education
  • Minimum of National Senior Certificate or equivalent; further education in hospitality or management is preferred.
Experience
  • At least five years of progressive experience in food and beverage management within a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a team and achieving operational targets.
