Introduction

Our Client is seeking the services of a technical Consultant.

This role blends relationship-building, technical consultation, and strategic business development to expand the client portfolio within the Pretoria region while ensuring continued sales growth and support for existing customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, installers, and commercial clients. Conduct regular site visits to reseller outlets and commercial developments (e.g., office parks, complexes). Present access control solutions to stakeholders and coordinate product demonstrations. Ensure brand visibility through updated displays, brochures, and promotional materials. Meet monthly branch sales targets and provide structured feedback to management. Promote and facilitate training courses and product presentations. Research and engage new leads, ensuring accurate CRM data. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve product issues and ensure client satisfaction. Participate in morning team briefings and contribute to interdepartmental communication. Support internal sales processes and assist with ad-hoc duties (e.g., stock take, deliveries). Occasionally assist technical teams with site visits for product assessments. Coordinate area sales strategies and contribute to regional business development.

Key Interfaces: new and existing customers; sales, marketing, and R&D teams; developers, architects, and other professionals.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications & Experience: matric (grade 12) with basic understanding of electronic or mechanical systems; 1–2 years’ experience in a technical sales environment; strong presentation and negotiation skills.

Functional Skills:

  • Proven experience in technical sales (electronic / mechanical)
  • Ability to conduct training and product presentations
  • Computer literate (MS Office Suite); ERP exposure advantageous
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime when required
