Shave Paint + Decor - External Sales Representative. Shave Paint + Decor is a family-founded paint retail business with strong values and business ethics.

The company offers expertise in decorative and industrial paint as well as wall coverings.

Shaves seeks to employ an external Sales Representative who shall assist in ensuring that our customers receive high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales services.

The successful incumbent shall be responsible for marketing the various products we offer and provide product specifications to businesses and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Attending site meetings and inspections to draw up detailed specifications for contractors, property administrators and body corporates.
  • Focusing sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customer sales.
  • Advising customers on current promotions and prices.
  • Attending on-site visits and providing specifications and quotes for customers.
  • Following up on each sale.
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Being on the constant lookout for sales prospects and communicating customers' requests to management.
  • Having excellent knowledge of the market conditions to aid sales.
  • Maximising the sales value of each transaction through add‑on sales.
  • Administering and completing sales reports using the Honeybee system.
  • Conducting market research.
  • Promoting new products.
  • Recording orders.
  • Monitoring competitor activity.
  • Evaluating marketing campaigns.
  • Maintaining an awareness of all promotions and advertisements (internal and external) on an ad‑hoc basis.
  • Assisting in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
  • Assisting in completing price changes.
  • Participating and assisting with stock take.
  • Performing any other tasks as assigned from time to time by Sales and/or Operations Director.
  • Ensuring branch closing procedures are completed.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Matric certificate.
  • SAPMA Certificate or relevant paint qualification – advantage.
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role and a proven record as an excellent salesperson.
  • Valid and unendorsed Driver’s licence.
  • Knowledge of paint and paint applications.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
