External Sales Representative required in Somerset West.

A growing technology and supply chain solutions company is seeking a driven Sales Representative to focus on new business development across local and international markets.

This role is suited to a confident, proactive salesperson with strong negotiation skills and a proven track record in generating leads, securing meetings, and closing deals.

The position offers growth potential within a supportive, results-driven environment.

Salary: R30 000 – R35 000 basic plus commission, fuel and cell phone allowance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree
  • 3–5 years’ proven sales experience within logistics and/or technology (ERP sales experience essential)
  • Demonstrable sales achievements and ability to produce proof of targets met
  • Strong lead-generation and new business development experience
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Professional, well-groomed, and confident engaging with clients
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • CRM experience (HubSpot preferred)
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
  • Ability to work independently and manage a healthy sales pipeline
  • Experience preparing proposals, tenders, and client presentations

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify prospective clients with support from a sales administrator
  • Conduct outreach, set up meetings, and schedule product demonstrations
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline for future opportunities
  • Negotiate and close deals with new customers
  • Develop an understanding of the product suite and confidently present basic product information
  • Explore and establish alternative routes to market internationally
  • Ensure all activities and processes align with company policies
  • Travel regularly for client meetings and business development
  • Maintain accurate CRM updates and reporting
