The position requires an independent, well‑organized person who is required to frequently travel overseas and must have the ability to deal with customer diversities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent selling skills, including 5 years sales experience.
- Knowledge of polymers, textiles and plastics (an advantage).
- Previously travelled extensively overseas on business.
- Knowledge of export procedures and regulations.
- Computer literacy.
- General business and financial understanding.
- Relevant tertiary education.
- Code 08 driver’s licence.
- A proven achievement track record in sales.
- Up‑to‑date product knowledge, sales, and market trends.
- Good communication skills with customers, colleagues, and all role players.
- Talking persuasively and fluently; listening skills.
- Planning, organizing, control, and time‑keeping abilities.
- Prospecting and closing; deadline and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently, especially when traveling overseas.
- Ability to deal with customer diversities such as religious beliefs and social standings.

- Friendly and persuasive communicator, overcoming objections or hostility diplomatically.

Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales target through innovative selling skills.
- Exceed customer requirements at every interface.
- Sell the range of products manufactured by Knittex and Sakpro.
- Have a good understanding of the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Complete accurate and quality paperwork.
- Protect the company against risk.
- Exercise caution in dealing with customer expectations.
- Represent the company in networking within external challenging business environment.
- Follow up on sales opportunities (leads).
- Provide after‑sales service.
- Keep customer up to date throughout the sales process.
- Urgent focus on selling process and required timeline.
- Monitor, record, analyze, and report on activities, results and recommendations.
- Prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner.
- Plan and manage sales through distributors, individuals and other relevant outlets.
- Negotiate, renew or review contracts for sales as required in accordance with organizational policy and procedures.
