Job Function

To manage, coordinate and control the quality of the work activities of an export call centre team as the first point of contact for client / customer queries, problems and orders, contributing to managerial decision-making.

Daily Contact

Daily contact will be made with Clients (local), customers (throughout Africa, Carriers, Freight Forwarders and operational personnel (internal).

Key Performance Areas

• Execute own work and team work according to set operating procedures and service level agreements.
• Execute own work and teamwork in line with governance and compliance processes.
• Monitor and report on own and teams' transactional activities to provide timely information for decision making.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver own and team activities to ensure that agreed standards and operational objectives are met (daily to 3 months).
• Coordinate and monitor daily work activities within the team environment in order to prevent financial losses.
• Coordinate team activities to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.
• Create an engaging, enabling and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition by demonstrating leadership through personal commitment to organisational values.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 3-year degree (NQF Level 7).

Experience and Skills Required

• Up to 5 years of experience in a similar environment with at least 3 years' operational leadership or specialist experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP.
• Proficient financial accounting knowledge and / or skill.
• Proficient budgeting and cost management knowledge and / or skill.
• Provides clients / customer with quality service and solutions to satisfy changing needs.
• Knowledge and understanding of requirements and process to export goods / freight.
• Knowledge of labour relations policies and procedures in dealing with labour matters in a work environment.
• A thorough understanding of documentary requirements for exports in BLNS, SADC & SSA is required and experience in pharmaceutical shipments is desirable.

Trade Lane / Carrier capability

Useful but not essential.
